Itinerary

Day 1Arrival Colombo - Kandy

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo). Drive to Kandy. Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage en route. In the evening see a cultural show in Kandy. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 2Kandy → Sigiriya / Dambulla

In Kandy visit the Temple of the Tooth, stroll around Kandy Lake, spend time at the Royal Botanical Gardens. Then head toward the Cultural Triangle region. Visit Dambulla Cave Temple. Overnight near Sigiriya.

Day 3Sigiriya → Nuwara Eliya

Early morning climb of Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Afterwards travel to Nuwara Eliya (the “Tea Country”). En route enjoy picturesque scenery, tea plantations, maybe a tea factory visit. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 4Nuwara Eliya → Bentota

After breakfast, descend from the hills, head toward the beach/coastal area (Bentota or similar). Relax on the beach, enjoy water activities, or just rest. Overnight by the coast.

Day 5Coastal Relaxation → Colombo

More beach time in the morning. Then travel to Colombo. In Colombo visit key sites: Gangaramaya Temple, Galle Face Green, Pettah Market, maybe Lotus Tower. Overnight in Colombo.

Day 6Departure

 Depending on your flight time, you may have time for some last minute shopping or a short city tour in Colombo. Transfer to airport and depart.
